Do not take me wrong sir but for bigger dreams, you have to score big. Ask your son to appear next year for Mains and Advance and then he should think about aerospace engineering.

It depends on your choice fill-up. You cannot get a good IIT with branches at this rank. You may get a good NIT with good branches except CSE. Mock seat allotment is just for the 1st round. Therefore, it's not an issue. You can wait for the further seat allotment.

IIT Bombay is a better option to pursue course in it with excellent academic staff with lots of experience and has good facility and infrastructure for the benefits of the students.
