An expert panel "Committee of Eminent Persons", constituted by the IIT council and headed by Ashok Mishra, the committee has suggested that JEE Mains and JEE Advanced be combined into a single engineering entrance exam. But there is no final decision announced on this subject by MHRD yet.

Old NITs are the best. Some of the top level NITs are MNIT, Allahabad & NIT, Warangal. IISC, Bangalore is also famous as it has good placement. IIT Roorkee is famous for its civil branch. IIT Kanpur and Bombay are at the top level. New IITs are not good in terms of placements and facilities.

Yes, you are eligible for JEE mains, but not for JEE advance.

Every engineering stream now a days have at least one programming language. So, you can't run away from it. I think you don't need to fear about programming language. It is easy than other subject. You first decide whether which branch you more interested and don't think about other thing.

First of all, check that if your percentage is capable according to your category then you can find out the cutoff and decide for your exam.

In top IITs, the highest package offered is Rs.50 LPA, depending on your capability.

1. Refer good books - (PCM)
2. You may join any reputed coaching classes, either you may opt self preparation.
3. Join test series and take it seriously.

Your AIR and state rank will be mentioned on your score card.

JEE Mains score will be decided after exam and college choice will be decided in counseling. Above 70% score will provide you the best engineering college.
