Actually, instead of looking from this angle, ask yourself what is your passion? What subject interests you? Then take all necessary steps including appearing for required entrance exam to get that stream.

How are you?
You may prefer Shiksha college predictor.
In our country, people truly believe on IITs and NITs for B.Tech and placement.
But, due to downfall, these are also losing its position.
Apart from these, some private college are BITS, SRM, NIRMA, VIT, SKIT Jaipur, UPES Dehradun and LPU are getting higher value.
Well, there, you may get good environment.
A peaceful decorum and high placement records
Thanks for asking.
All the best.

It is impossible to get a college like NITs, IIITs, etc. through JEE Mains counselling with a rank of 305055. Even your category rank should have gone below (if applicable).
so you may try the colleges that accept JEE main marks and board exam scores for admission or a better one with your board exam scores.

I take that you will be appearing in 12th boards with PCM. Now in case you have not taken any coaching for JEE, I recommend you to enroll into one. Next thing to do , is understand each and every concept to the depth and practising as much as you can. Solve previous year papers in a time bound manner. Understand each question you got wrong. Try to score maximum in each mock test you take. Perseverance along with brilliance will take you very far.
With self study, it will be difficult. So, it is better to join a good coaching centre and you also need to work really hard if you are in 12th and a planned work if you are in

Congrats on getting a good rank . these IITs are one among the top IITs in India. All IITs are good but Kanpur and Kharagpur are the better ones.
First, go by your interest. if you want to do mechanical engineering, then opt for Kanpur and Kharagpur. If you want to do CSE then go for IIT Indore.
I won't say that IIT Indore is equal to Kanpur and Kharagpur but the placements and the reputation are good.
if you want CSE alone instead of core branch like mechanical then you can go for IIT Indore.
