Firstly congratulations for the Jee Mains Rank. As your rank is 5790 you can get into any NITs in India. If you want to get top branches then you should go for the 2nd tier NITs like NIT Durgapur, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Bhopal etc. If you want to get into top NITs the you should go for NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Rourkela etc. These are the few top NITs in India. Other than that also You can go for the IIITs like IIIT Hydranbad, IIIT Bnagaore, IIIT Delhi. These are some of the best IIITs of India. All female students who have passed the 10+2 exam or an equivalent exam from a recognised college, board, or council may apply for admission to the four-year B.Tech. programme in Information Technology (IT) & Computer Science & Engineering (CSE). The programme requires students to have at least 45% (or 40% for students from reserved categories) in aggregate marks in PCM and PCBM. MIT Academy of Engineering, MAEER is a premier institute. The cut-offs are generally high. 40 percentile is comparatively low, the last cut-off rank for the last year was 264031, which if calculated is approximately 75 percentile. The minimum percentile required to any college is 50-60 percentile.

You can expect a rank between 615134 to 796929. It would be best if you prepare for another attempt at JEE Mains. If you don't want to appear for JEE Mains, then you can opt for the colleges where you can get admitted to the colleges where you can get admitted without the JEE Mains. Some colleges that accept admission to BTech courses without JEE Mains or any other exams are:

  • Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE)
  • Shiv Nadar University
  • Amity University
  • Chandigarh University

NITs are renowned for their engineering programs across various disciplines. The rank of 5800 JEE Mains might get you a seat in some of the top NITs, depending on specific NIT and the branch availability. NIT is a government recognised institute which might help you secure better positions in future. You must consider your choice on the basis of the branch you would persue. On the other hand IIIT Banglore being a private institue may lack in teaching infrastructure in making students industry ready.

A Das Gupta and Cengage are some of the best books for JEE with lots of multiple choice questions. A Das Gupta has many unsolved and solved questions whereas Cengage is known for the quality of questions included in the material. I recommend you to go with A Das Gupta first as the terminology is difficult in Cengage. But, not only to solve das gupta is enough for your JEE preparation. It consist of limited and less explored questions.Cengage is a very good book for mathematics and questions are of different variety from easy to hard.
