The state government Colleges and private colleges in Trichy will not ask for JEE score. They will ask state level exam marks or board exam marks.

Rank does not matter here. You must clear the category wise cutoffs for applying for JEE Advanced.

CSE is a tough game if you are a general student but, you might have a chance for Software Engineering or Mathematics and Computing.

No. For a seat in VNIT, you need to have atleast 90 percentile in JEE Mains.
