The minimum marks required to secure a seat in any of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research vary from year to year. However, in the year 2020, people scoring approximately around 96 out of 180 were allotted seats in the first round itself, 88 to 89 were allotted in the second round and 83 to 85 were allotted in the 3rd round of counseling. So a score of 83 to 85 was enough to secure a seat in any of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research in subsequent rounds.
