Yes, you may get an NIT or IIIT college irrespective of Desired Branch. But I suggest you to go counselling till last round which is best for you. You should look into the National Rail and Transportation Institute. It is a university set up by the Indian Railways and it offers 2 B.Tech. Courses. The university gets very good faculty from IITs and Iims and has also been providing its students with excellent placement opportunities.

No Deepika, As per the revised eligibility criteria of Thapar Institute JEE is not mandatory and now all the admissions will be done on the basis of 12th marks. Last date to apply is 31st July, 2020.
