BE Aeronautical Engineering is a 4-year Under Graduate (UG) course with a specialization in the field of aviation and aerodynamics. The minimum eligibility criterion which most of the institutes ask for is a score of at least 60% to 70% (relaxable for reserved category candidates) at 10+2 or equivalent level.

JEE is not required to take admission in aeronautical engineering branch in MIT madras. You have to score good marks in TNEA entrance exam to get a seat in MIT.

You have to score equal to or more than the cutoff in either phase whether in january or in april to sit for JEE advance exam. Best of two phase is considered and it you score good then chances are there that you sit for JEE advance exam.
