The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) released the round 2 seat allotment result on June 27, 2024. Registered candidates can check JoSAA seat allotment result 2024 for round 2 online at the official website: josaa.nic. The JoSAA counselling cut-off for round 2 was released on June 28, 2024. As per the schedule, the fee payment, document verification as well as response to queries for JoSAA counselling round 2 was conducted from June 27 to July 1, 2024. 

JoSAA 2024 counselling is ongoing. The authority published the JoSAA 2024 Round 1 Seat Allotment Result and Cutoffs on June 20, 2024. Candidates can make a fee payment until June 24, 2024.

A general rank of more than 2 Lacs in JEE Main, your options in JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counseling will primarily focus on selecting engineering colleges and programs where the cutoff ranks typically extend beyond the top ranks, include a wide range of institutes and branches in your preferred list. This increases your chances of securing a seat in a college that aligns with your preferences and matches your rank.Look into NITs, IIITs, and other GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes) that historically have lower cutoff ranks or more available seats in later rounds of counseling.

The JoSAA 2024 Mock Seat Allocation Round 2 will be released on June 17, 2024 on the official website. Candidates who will submit their preferences by June 16, 2024, can view the JoSAA 2024 Mock Seat Allocation Round 2 result through the official website.

JoSAA 2026 counselling for JEE Main and JEE Advanced qualifiers will begin in June 2026. The entire schedule of JoSAA counselling 2026 will be uploaded on josaa.nic.in.

While the JoSAA counselling is free of charge, the only fee that the candidates have to pay is for the seat confirmation, once taken admission, the fee is added to the semester fees of the candidate. 

The charges for seat confirmation for general category is INR 35,000 . While that for SC, Gen-PwD, ST, OBC-NCL-PwD, ST-PwD, and SC-PwD categories is INR 15,000.

No, following the completion of the sixth round of seat distribution, there won't be a spot round at any of the IITs. Based on their rankings in the JEE Mian 2024 or JEE Advanced exam, each candidate will be assigned seats and courses at participating institutes.
