IIIT Guwahati BTech seats are filled by the Joint Seat Allocation Seat (JoSAA) after qualifying the JEE Main exam. The counselling body doesn't have any registrtaion fee, the filling-in of choices on the online portal is free of cost. However, candidates might have pay the seat acceptance fee . The documents uploaded by the candidate will not be verified unless the candidate pays the seat acceptance fee. General/Open category candidates are required to pay a fee of INR 35,000, whereas SC, Gen-PwD, ST, OBC-NCL-PwD, ST-PwD, and SC-PwD have to pay INR15,000 through e-challan or through SBI net banking. Yes, candidates who do not participate in the JoSAA counselling are eligible to participate in the CSAB counselling. Candidates must complete the CSAB counselling registration using JEE Main application number. After the registration process, the exam authorities will commence the document verification process.

Yes, applicants who wish to particpate in CSAB have to register online from the CSAB official website as both CSAB and JoSAA are separate counselling processes. The document verification of such candidates will not be conducted again, as the documents are verified during JoSAA.
