Many colleges such as IISC-Bangalore, NITK, NIE-Mysore and MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, UVCE-Bangalore provide TEQIP scholarships to students. So, go for it.

Through internship, I am assuming that you're interested in doing some research work or project, so the best way is to start looking for nice institutes nearby your places where you can easily visit, then check the faculty of desired topic, and the professor you would like to work with, you can send them a mail including all the skills you've and why would you like to work with them.
