Well, about the management quota. The best way to approach would be to talk in person with the college authorities. Set up an appointment through phone and talk to them in person. The possibility of getting a seat varies depending on vacancy, which course etc. Start the discussions early on, is my opinion.

Although the exact rank clearly varies from year to year, and other special quotas that are applicable for eligible students, CSE is a top branch and BMSCE is a very good top college. Hence, having a rank under 1000 will surely help ( again, could be plus and minus depends on dynamic scenario).

There are many colleges offering aeronautical engineering branch in Karnataka. If you can score enough marks, then you can get admission into aeronautical engineering. Of course the percentage and the rank in KCET changes from year to year and hence is no use giving the ranks of the previous years as this year also the rank at which the cutoff will take place will change.
