There are some USA universities however rare, with 100% acceptance rate. But Kent State is not one of those. The KSU acceptance rate is 87%. It can also be considered a high acceptance rate as out of every 100 applications 87 students are given admissions.

For Indian students, there are two intakes at Kent State University. These intakes are Fall and Semester and the students need to apply before the start.
The Fall semester of Kent State is the main and most popular intake, and applications generally start on Jun 1 every year. For the Spring semester, these applications usually start around Oct 1 each year.

International students can apply to Kent State University with all to 7 days from the start of the semester. There are two intakes at Kent State University: the Fall and Spring semesters. The Fall intake is the main intake and will start on Jun 1, 2026. The Spring semster is expected to start around Oct 1, 2026. So the students are suggested to apply before the deadlines so that they have buffer.

For the Kent State University admissions for the year 2026, international students can choose not to take any SAT or ACT as entrance tests. Hence, technically the students do not really need to submit these scores as part of their applications.
Although students can choose to submit these scores as part of the application if they want to show their academic abilities and increase their chances of getting into the university.

When you want to apply to Kent State University, the application costs students. For UG admissions, Indian students need to pay the KSU application fee of USD 50 (INR 4.4K). This application can be made via the Common App portal.
And for PG courses at Kent State University Indian students are required to pay an application fee of USD 70 (INR 6.2K).

Not at all, based on some unofficial sources the Kent State University acceptance rate stands at 87%. The meaning being, out of every 100 applications, the university offers admission to 87 applicants. Indian students should just meet some KSU admission requirements which are given below -
- Academic transcripts
- A UG degree for PG courses and a high school Diploma for the UG courses
- SAT or ACT score
- GMAT required for some PG courses
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

This includes QS World University Rankings (#1001), which has not shown any change since few previous years. US News and World Report has also ranked the university at #937 in 2025 and #894 in 2024, indicating a declining rate.

There are various resources offered to maintain the safety such as emergency numbers, safety assistants who are responsible for patrolling the residence halls, security department specialised in various expertise including fire, emergency management, police department, regional campus security and many more.

Kent State University focuses on providing the best student service. There are 24 residence halls and 19 dining locations accessible to the students. Apart from this, there is a recreation and wellness center offering fitness facilities and wellness programs, art and culture community which is responsible for organizing art exhibitions and cultural events. The university also offers health services including medical facilities, mental health services etc.
