If your branch rank is 50-60, then you may get a govt college but I think at 1072 GMR your branch should be above 100. So, there is less chance of getting a govt college for mechanical.

Sorry to say that but you there is no chance to get CSE at kgec with this rank, you can try for newly opened govt colleges or other prestigious private colleges.

In actual, prediction of general rank requirement is quite tough, but if your branch rank is under 20, then you can take admission in KGEC. For a rough figure, you can expect that under 200 GMR is quite safe for getting admission.

Expected cut off for CSE in KGEC through JELET is 30(approximately), this changes every year according to difficulty level of question paper, but you can expect that cut off will not deviate that much from 30.

Sorry, but I can not tell you that you can get in Kalyani govt engg college or not without knowing your rank in WBJEE. if your rank is under 1000 then you may get Kalyani but if your rank is under then you can get other Branches except CSE.
