Every year, the cut off marks for the KGMU NEET exam are affected due to the following factors:

  • The difficulty level of the exam. In case the question paper is easy then the NEET cut offs are expected to go high and vice-versa.
  • Total number of applications received. If the total applications received are less then the cut off is expected to be relaxed. 
  • Total candidates qualifying NEET exam. If the total number of qualifying candidates is less than the total seats then cut off goes low
  • Total number of seats. If the total number of seats is revised and increased then cut off is expected to remain low

  • Applicants must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) from a recognised board.
  • Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Biotechnology), and English are required in class 12th.
  • General Category (UR), OBC, EWS: Applicants need to have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in Class 12.
  • Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories need to have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate in Class 12.
  • The candidate's age should be at least 17 years old but not exceed 35 years on December 31st of the application year.
