King George's Medical University, since its inception, has been ranked by various ranking bodies. KGMU is ranked 12 by NIRF 2023 under the Medical category, five by NIRF 2022 for Dental, 11 by NIRF 2022 for Medicine & Health Sciences, 50 by NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) 2022 under the University category, and 75 by NIRF 2022 under the Overall category. Since the university is one of the best-ranked universities in India, a lot of students apply for the same. So seats are limited.
