Hi,Lateral entry students do have an edge as they save one precious year and enter the dynamic field in the second year of BTech.

Lateral entry in B.Tech is a good option because this way you are able to take admission in the second year of B.Tech after your Diploma. The government colleges accepting B.Tech lateral entry are KIITS University, Punjab Technical University - Jalandhar, Anna University – Tamil Nadu, Punjab University - Chandigarh, MIT, CEG etc. Where there are entrance exams and you need to clear them. Besides this, there are good institutions which are having a good place in the education filed like LPU which has received the award for best placements in North for consecutive 3 years. SRM with a big campus and infrastructure, Vellore too is going quite good. Browse through the options of entrance exams and choose accordingly.
