Yes, you are eligible for it. If you are very much interested in DCET, just go through that and you can continue your studies in that particular college.

Hello Ann, There are plenty of colleges within the budget that you are saying you have assigned for your studies. 4 lacs in 3 years comes to about more than 1 Lacs per year. The fees in majority of engineering colleges are 100000 and less. I am sure you will find a college and will be able to achieve your aim of taking admission for an engineering graduation course with your budget. Best wishes to you.

Yes, this is possible in DTU. So you have to participate in CET for lateral admission in DTU.

Admission in B.Tech LE programmes offered by engineering institutes is done on the basis of entrance exams. Different institutes consider different entrance exams. Most of the regional government and private colleges take admission on the basis of state entrance exams.
Some deemed universities and autonomous institutes might conduct their own entrance exam for admission to B.Tech LEprogrammes offered by them.

Hindustan University is one of the best university in Chennai, and it is very good for B.Tech in automobile engineering, as it is known for this. So, I think you should take admission in this university.

You are already pursuing B.Tech course then why do you want lateral entry admission?
Lateral entry is only applicable for Diploma qualified students.
