Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Lateral Entry courses are offered by multiple universities. The Lateral Entry program enables candidates with a 3 years diploma in engineering or an equivalent degree to get admitted directly to 2nd Year (3rd semester). Eligibility criteria to seek admission in B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering is 3 years Diploma in Engineering granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government or passed B.Sc Degree from a recognized University with atleast 45% marks and passed Xll standard with Mathematics as a subject. Lateral entry offers an opportunity to make a direct entry into the second year of an undergraduate technical education program.
Lateral entry is only the way to the second years of an engineering program. Eligibility criteria for lateral entry are subject to an institutes discretion. However, Diploma in the respective branch from a recognized institute is a mutual element, in addition, you may also be required to sit for an examination conducted by the institute in which you see the enrollment.
