Indian IT industry is in decline phase. No. of new jobs being created are reducing day by day because of outcry against outsourcing in Western countries. Most of the freshers recruitment is by campus placement. If you do BCA by distance learning, you will miss out on campus placement opportunities and may struggle to find a job. Therefore, you are advised that you should do BCA only from a prestigious formal college with good campus placement records only.

Hello Sai,
Lateral admissions are prerogative of concerned state govt. Normally table is published indicating which branches in diploma will make you eligible for which branch in engineering. Check for PI with your polytechnic where you completed your diploma & they will inform you immediately.

Hello Akash,
A Diploma is a Diploma and a degree is a degree. You can call by any name. Three years course after 10th. Lateral admissions to 2nd-year of engineering are allowed in a majority of colleges. Rules for this are state specific.
You can raise a further query to clarify.
