Almost every state has its own set of rules and procedures. Some states conduct entrance exams while others admit students based on marks of diploma. DTE if your state will give you correct picture.

Yes, I can understand your query since I had lived in Mumbai. DTE will make a merit list of those who have applied for lateral admission. Your chances of desired college depend on your merit.

Hi Tanush,
You must not be knowing this but German universities do not accept Diplomas for admissions into their Bachelor's degree programmes. After completing your Diploma, you must enroll into a Bachelor's degree programme in India and complete only the 1st-year with very good scores. You can also clear the IIT JEE Mains.
