If you are considering two choices: B.Tech CSE and B.Tech (Hons.) The Lovely Professional University (LPU) is one of the good news, as placement opportunities are nearly equivalent for both. Companies normally permit pupils aged from B.Tech CSE and B.Tech (Hons.) Graduates of CSE to attend placement drives and the recruiters will judge you based on your skills of coding, projects, internships, communication and problem solving skills rather than just getting the name of the degree.
The main difference is that B.Tech (Hons.) involves more specialist subjects, research experience and work related training as well as extra academic credits

When you get placement from LPU, the job location mainly depends on the company that hires you. Many top recruiters like Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, and Wipro have offices in cities such as Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Gurgaon, Noida, Chennai, and sometimes even abroad. So placement does not mean you will settle only in Delhi. Some companies may ask your preferred location, but final posting usually depends on business requirements and available openings. From what I have seen, students from LPU get opportunities across different states because the university attracts recruiters from all over India. The good thing

The fee setup for B.Tech in CSE at Lovely Professional University is usually around ₹1.6 lakh per semester for the regular CSE track, so the full tuition for 4 years is roughly ₹12–13 lakhs before any scholarships. Hostel and mess charges are handled separately, and they could add close to ₹3.5–5 lakhs depending on the room type and the kind of facilities you get. Also the university provides scholarships via LPUNEST, JEE Main, CUET, or 12th marks, so for eligible students the overall expense can drop quite a lot.

Yes, a good student very much can secure a package above ₹10 LPA in CSE at Lovely Professional University. Their recent placement numbers say the top CSE highest packages can touch around ₹50–64 LPA+ ,and the average for the top end performers is about ₹14–15 LPA. But honestly, on the ground, those big offers usually land on students who are solid in coding, DSA, real projects, internships, communication, and competitive programming, not just “marks” or acad
