LPU does have options for non‑vegetarian food, but the main hosteller messes are vegetarian and run by the university. For non‑veg meals, students usually rely on an external food‑vendor‑run non‑veg mess and multiple food‑court outlets located around and just outside the campus. These non‑veg services are managed independently and are not part of the core LPU mess plan, so students who prefer non‑veg generally opt for those dedicated outlets or nearby eateries.

For BCA admission at Lovely Professional University, there isn't a separate “qualifying examination” conducted by the university for admission. Your Class 12 board exams are considered the qualifying exam.

If you're asking about LPUNEST, it is held in multiple phases throughout the year (usually from January to April/May). You can choose a slot and appear online or at a test center, mainly for scholarship purposes, not mandatory qualification.

Placements at the university are generally considered strong, with a large number of companies visiting each year across IT, core, and management domains. Many students receive offers in the range of single‑digit to mid‑teens LPA, while a smaller group with strong skills and profiles secures packages in higher brackets, including crore‑plus offers in some cases. Actual placement and salary depend heavily on the branch, individual performance, internships, and preparation level.

When you get placed from Lovely Professional University, your job location is not fixed to Delhi. It completely depends on the company that hires you.

Most companies (like Infosys, Cognizant, Amazon) have offices in multiple cities such as Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Gurgaon, Noida, etc. So after selection, you will be assigned a location by the company, and you may need to move to that city. In some cases, companies allow preference, but it's not guaranteed.

So basically, placement means you get a job—not a fixed city. You should be ready to relocate anywhere in India (or even abroad) depending on the company and role.

It's not that Lovely Professional University has no ranking, it actually does appear in rankings like National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). The confusion usually comes because it may not always be in the top tier positions, so people assume it isn't ranked.

Rankings like NIRF depend on many factors such as research output, faculty publications, perception, student ratio, and outreach, not just campus, placements, or facilities. LPU is strong in infrastructure and placement opportunities, but in areas like research and perception, some older or government institutions may score higher. That's
