Both MA and M.Ed are post graduate level courses. Both the courses are quite different from each other in few many aspects. Masters in Arts give you an in depth knowledge about the particular field which helps in research and many other places. This gives you extra degree in your profile.

But you need submit your CAT or MAT score card along with your 10+2+3 mark sheets and work experience details.You also need to take GAT (Globsyn Aptitude Test) clearing which you are eligible for admission in Globsyn Business School. For an engineering student, it is quite tough to go for Masters in Economic as in whole academic period, students study PCM and no economics, but in Master's degree, a student has to get in-depth knowledge in this subject and needs an introduction to economics before joining MA in Economics. As Economics is a complex subject so after a small introduction to an economics student can get some base for the syllabus and understand the syllabus easily. So, it is beneficial to do MA in economics as less engineering student do this and there is a scope in the finance field, industries, and banking & marketing field.

Very important question for students, There are many general awareness books but what I'll suggest is keep reading News Paper that too TOI or ET only. Also you can download their apps on your smart phone which actually help a lot. It gives you frequent news notification and if you read the headline also then it remains in your mind.
Apart from that, you can read blogs as well for GA.
