Hi Vikas,
Finance, business administration, accounting or economics are the preferred fields for a career in the banking domain. Math skills in addition to strong oral business skills also play an important role in being a good professional banker.
While an MA in Economics will equip you with the technical skills, also consider the possibility of an MBA degree as it will take you a long way.
All the best!

Hello Dhanush,
Very nice to see that spark in you to learn. Yes you can comfortably start MA. I would IGNOU since it has pan India presence. It also has video lessons. However in Bangalore there are plenty of teachers who are teaching weekend batches.

Hello Ayush,
After MA in economics, there are plenty of job opportunities available in India. Firstly it's in teaching profession, secondly it's as a finance officer in any company. Else you can appear for civil services examination conducted by UPSC.
But please select one in which you have interest.
