Dear Rani,
For M.Phil and Ph.D courses, candidates must possess a post-graduate degree in the relevant stream. Also, check the detailed eligibility criteria for PhD offered at Madras University.
The university conducts entrance examination for selection of candidates to the research programs. Candidates who have cleared UGC/CSIR NET are exempted from appearing in the entrance examination.

Can I do a correction? Doctoral degree i.e. PhD is higher in heirarchy than MPhil. Hence if you are already a PhD the best course for you is to do PhD in another topic rather than MPhil.

Any degree that you do adds to your competence as well as strengthens the job claims. In you case, if you are already working with M.Sc. And B.Sc. This will enhance your claim in Higher Education. I suggest that you should do B.Ed that will be more beneficial for school teaching careers.
