Yes, 98 percentile score in CUET PG Microbiology (2025) makes you an extremely good candidate for OBC-reserved seats in most government colleges. Cutoff marks of 180–210 are typically expected by most Central and state universities for OBC category, and 98 percentile would normally fall in that range

With 96 marks in CUET PG, you can't expect to take admission in a top central university, for example, IARI, BHU, or Visva-Bharati. The cut-off marks for these universities are generally above 160 - 200. You may have a chance to apply to state agricultural universities or private colleges, for example, Shivaji University, LPU, Amity University, or AKS University, because they will have a lower no. of cut-off marks and offer M.Sc. agriculture programs. Also, watch the second or spot rounds.

Based on a score of 92 marks in Plant Biotechnology, getting admission in top universities like JNU, BHU, Delhi University would be difficult as their cutoff ranges are generally higher, above 150 - 200 marks. However, you can apply to state universities or private universities that accept lower cutoff in their merit list like: Amity University, Shivaji University, Lovely Professional University, etc. Also, the second round of admissions for colleges which include direct admission or entrance based, sometimes have less cutoffs.

With 80 marks in CUET PG, admission in top-ranked universities for M.Sc. Botany like Delhi University, BHU, or Hyderabad University will be a remote chance, as their cutoffs will be more than 150. But you may try to apply to state universities, private colleges, or autonomous colleges with less cutoff. Colleges in states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, or Tamil Nadu with less cutoff for some categories or rural quotas are options.
