For the academic year 2023/24, international students starting this study in the first year will be required to pay an Overseas fee of £13,550. The fees for a student's course of study will be fixed for the normal duration of that course, with only annual rises - determined by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) recorded in March each year - taking effect for subsequent start dates.

 To apply for an MSc course, the aspirant shall have a Bachelor's degree in Science with a relevant subject (mandatory) from a recognised university. For applied chemistry, a BSc degree in applied chemistry, BSc in Applied Mathematics, and applied physics for the MSc Applied Mathematics and MSc Applied Physics specialisations.

 Eligible candidates who submit the applications and secure a good score in IIT JAM are shortlisted for further admission rounds. A cutoff for IIT JAM Counselling is then announced, based on which candidates have to appear for counselling to secure a seat. During counselling, document verification is done and if all the documents are fine, then students are admitted.

For NIT Rourkela MSc admission, candidates must hold a valid Bachelor's degree from a recognised institute/ university with at least 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates). The aspirants who have appeared for their graduation exams in 2023 are also eligible to take admission.

 For admission to an MSc course, aspirants must have taken the IIT JAM entrance test. Based on the NIT Rourkela cutoff, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of merit in IIT JAM and are called for CCMN Counselling. Furthermore, the final seat allotment is carried out based on the cumulative score in the entrance test and based on the counselling round.
