No, you first qualify GATE then you can take admission in ME or M.Tech in reputed institutes. But there are some low private colleges to which you can apply for ME. But the thing is you will not get a stipend.

It's not possible to get it in category 1 with this rank. You will either get it in category 3 or 4.

The paper pattern is the same as that of last year. The paper contains 2 sections, one maths and one physics each containing 100 questions holding one mark for each question. So there is a total of 200 questions. Moreover, there is no negative marking. There is no chemistry (relief to some students)

Anybody who could manage a good enough CGPA (around 7 and above) can get a lot of opportunities of internships and placements from reputed companies.
