What perhaps you mean is the engineering course offered by your University. All engineering courses offered in India by any institute has to have AICTE approval. Not only PG in foreign shore, your very employment in India too is affected since it's an illegal degree.

As per the UGC guidelines, no college in India can offer engineering and medical courses through distance mode. Doing this is illegal. So, you ought to go for regular mode.

Since this is a PG level course, possessing an Undergraduate Degree is necessary to be able to pursue this course. One may pursue this course after completing UG programs like-B.E. /B.Tech. Marine Engineering, B.E. /B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering, B.E. /B.Tech. Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture.
