Yes, you have to apply for VITEEE exam then only you can get admission into college for B.Tech and M.Tech integrated course.

For admission in Galgotia you must have 60% in your B.Tech level and if you score 80+ then you will be able to get scholarship also. Galgotia University take admission to their M.Tech programme even without GATE scorecard. Just choose the college and fill the form.

Hi Swapnil,
VIT mechanical engineering department is one of the very good departments. As far as placements are concerned I would like to share an experience of my roommates. Two years back, two M.Tech. 2nd year students were my roommates. I remember that they had sat for an interview of at least 5-6 companies in front of me. Also, there were some more companies for which their profile wasn't suitable.

Normal M.Tech programme selection is done either directly through GATE or through initial GATE selection and further written test and interview. It is also called course programme, where students will be taking 12 to 14 courses (depends on the dept) to complete their course requirement, it is term-limited, you will have to complete within two years. Good for a job, also good for further studies, but you don't specialize much compared to M.Tech (research). Generally, the student of the home state is preferred up to a percentage reservation on some colleges. Also, in some colleges, the rank of admission differs for home and state quota.
