Hello Waqar,
The cut-off for GATE is 25 for 2017. Therefore, you are not eligible to appear for selection based on GATE scores. However, you can apply for various state level entrance examinations like OJEE for Odisha, WBUT for West Bengal, PGECET for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka etc. Based on these scores, you can choose a college for yourself for M.Tech. Apart from this, some private universities like GITAM (Vishakhapatnam), SRM University, KIIT (Odisha), VIT University, AMITY etc. conduct their own entrance examination. MCA is the sufficient qualification to start your career as IT professional. M.Tech after MCA will make you a specialist in your chosen field and you can make career as a technologist, architect or designer. You may seek admission in M.Tech if you are highly technically inclined. If you are not highly technically inclined then you may opt for job after MCA and grow into techno managerial role as team lead, PM and program manager. As M.Tech you will get only 15 to 25% additional salary over what a fresh MCA will get. In case you are planning to pursue M.Tech then target to do M.Tech from IITs or NITs after clearing GATE.
