First of all, there is no such age limit to become an Anchor. For becoming one, all you need is passion, dedication and love for your work. An Anchor is a person who presents a news or delivers a program on TV, Radio or the Internet. You can either become a Broadcast Anchor or an Event Anchor. A few qualities that are required to be an Anchor are:
*Communication skills
*Writing skills
*Passion
*Knowledge
*Investigation and Research skills
*Confidence
*Presence of mind
Apart from these, there are other qualities that you learn from your experiences. Now talking about anchoring, if you want to be an Event Anchor you need to possess the quality of attracting the audience mind and keeping them involved in the program, on the other hand a Broadcast Anchor is one who delivers message through a broadcast channel i.e., Radio, TV or the Internet. Although you need good communication skills and confidence to be an anchor, but nonetheless you also require a degree of Journalism and Mass Communication to work in the field, this is because when you apply for a job of a news reader or an anchor for a program\event the person holding a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication is preferred for the job as he\she may have the basic knowledge and of the concerned field. Surely, you can be an anchor too but I would advise that you should gain a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication so that it will provide you the base for becoming an Anchor.
