For M.sc Mathematics the eligibility criteria at Lovely professional university is Pass with 55% aggregate marks in Bachelor's degree (any discipline) (with Mathematics as a subject) or B.Tech. or B.E. or B.Sc. (Engineering) or equivalent.

M.Sc. In Astrophysics is a full-time postgraduate course which covers both theoretical and observational aspects of astrophysics, with the course modules consisting of one compulsory module focused on building research skills in Astrophysics, and a variety of different optional modules that focus on topics such as Stars and Nebula, Gravitational Dynamics, and Accretion Physics. Enrolled students are trained in not only the fundamental aspects of Astrophysics, but also transferable skills such as programming, data analysis, problem solving, scientific writing, presentation and Science outreach, enhancing employability in and out of academia. This is a 2- year long course divided into two semesters, and the starting salary offered in India for successful postgraduates of the course lies between INR 5,000 and 60,000 monthly. The minimum eligibility required to be MET for admission to the course is graduation completed with Science from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. Admission to the course is conducted in 2 stages:
Institutional Test. Personal Interview- involving assessment of fitness, work experience, publications and statement of purpose.
