Dear Vivek,
Please tell me WHY you want to do Ph.D at THIS stage? Please do not mis-understand me, but I wish we could discuss what exactly are your plans after completion of this Ph.D- whether you wish for a "MID-CAREER Shift" as they call it, how old are you, are you married with children etc. In fact I appreciate your initiative unlike many who would declare they are "well settled" and drop any idea of further studies!
Awaiting your reply ti give you the BEST answer.

Hey Ahana, Greetings! I would like to suggest you to sit down & first decide what is it that you would like to achieve in life. There are so many varied streams today that may confuse you. Hence please think of what is your burning desire that you wish to see yourself as in next five or ten years. Be realistic while deciding on this aspect. Then you shortlist the streams that would help you take to to your aspiration. Suggesting then what would suit you the best would help you realize your dreams that finally would satisfy your needs. Wish you all the best for setting your career goals first.:)
