A candidate, for admission to M.Sc. (Marine Science) Programme, must have passed the examination of
the Degree of Bachelor of Science of this University or an examination of any other University
recognized as equivalent thereto, with at least seven units of 100 marks each in the first, second and
third years taken together in any of the following subjects: microbiology, botany, zoology, chemistry,
physics, mathematics, earth sciences.

The exam is very easy. There is not going to be a major challenge as the IP University entrance exam is more of general answering and reasoning. As far as mathematics is concerned, only generic mathematics questions would be asked. Questions has logical reasoning Andhra Pradesh/GP series and sets. Related questions and other general questions. Then there would be English comprehensions also. The paper is very easy to clear. You can prepare from any general reference books.

For B.Com programme , maths is not compulsory, but if you wish to opt for B.Com hons, you need to have maths as a subject in your class 12th.
