Firstly, you must know that GATE maths is not that of a very high level as we encounter in many examinations such as JEE Main/Advance etc. But it is not as easy as engineering maths either. It tests for the basic application of proper mathematical techniques. Your main objective for preparing math for GATE should be concentrating on basics and application of these basics in a variety of problems. Yes, you can do M.Sc. M.Tech in maths so that you can apply for UGC NET from maths. You can also do B.Ed from maths, so that you can apply for CTET exam.

Hi, 'UPSC exams needed a lot preparation. 18 hours a day is also suppose to be less to prepare for the exams. UG from any stream will fetch you a chance to pursue UPSC exams.
