MBA Eligibility

IIM Calcutta offers a 5-year Integrated programme in Management (IPM), which combines both BBA and MBA degrees. To be eligible for admission to this programme, you must fulfill the following criteria:
Age Limit: You should not be more than 20 years of age as on July 31st of the year of admission. For the 2023-2024 academic year, you should be born on or after August 1st, 2003. Educational Qualification: You must have passed your Class 12th examination or equivalent with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in aggregate. Students who are due to appear for their Class 12th examination in the current year are also eligible to apply, subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria at the time of admission. Admission Test: You must have a valid score in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). For the 2023-2024 academic year, you must have appeared for JEE Main 2023 and JEE Advanced 2023. Note that fulfilling the above eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission to the IPM programme at IIM Calcutta. The selection process includes a written test, Personal Interview and other criteria such as academic performance, extra-curricular activities, and work experience (if any).

After completing B.A. In English you can pursue a variety of courses depending on your interests and career aspirations. Some of the popular options are:
1. Master's in English You can pursue a Master's degree in English to deepen your understanding of literature and language. This can also lead to opportunities for teaching, research, or writing.
2. Master's in Journalism and Mass Communication: If you are interested in media and communication, you can opt for a Master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. This can open up career opportunities in print and digital media, advertising, public relations, and corporate communication.
3. Master's in Education: If you are interested in teaching, you can pursue a Master's degree in Education to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for a career in teaching.
4. Master's in Business Administration: If you are interested in management and business, you can pursue a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA). This can open up opportunities in various industries and sectors.
5. Law degree: You can also consider pursuing a law degree LL.B. If you are interested in legal studies and a career in law. Apart from these, there are several other options such as courses in creative writing, linguistics, foreign languages, and more.
