1. Common Admission Test (CAT)
The biggest and most popular entrance examination in India, CAT is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM)
2. Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)
The second largest management entrance examination in the country, CMAT is taken by roughly 1.5 lakh candidates. Conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), CMAT is a relatively new addition to the list of MBA exams.
3. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)
Another top management entrance, XAT is pen and paper based management aptitude test. Conducted by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur, XAT is taken by approximately one lakh candidates annually.
4. Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP)
Conducted by Symbiosis International University, SNAP is also a national-level management entrance examination.
5. NMAT by GMAC
NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) is also one of the important MBA entrance exams. It has recently been acquired by GMAC and was rebranded as NMAT by GMAC
6. Management Aptitude Test (MAT)
MAT is also one of the most popular MBA entrance exams. More than 600 institutes accept MAT scores for admission to management programs.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is a fashion institute in India. It was set up in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and is an institution of design, management and technology for the international fashion business. Majority of todays famous fashion designer are NIFT pass out.
Eligibility for its flagship program Bachelor of Design B.Des (Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication) is as follow:
(a) The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi. Or
(b) General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB).or
(c) Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system. or
(d) A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects. Or
(e) 3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.
