MBA Entrance Exam

The selection process often starts with an application where the applicants need to submit an online or offline application form along with their academic transcripts, entrance exam scores, work experiences, and other documents. The applicants are shortlisted based on their scores in the Common Admission Test (CAT) or other management-accepted entrance exams. The top IIMs of Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, and Lucknow required a minimum CAT percentile of 99.80+ last year.

MBA is a 2 year post graduation course. The two main entrance exam that aspirants have to give are CAT and CMAT. CAT exam is usually given to get into top MBA institute IIMs, since they only consider CAT examination as the qualifying exam. Whereas all the other private universities consider CMAT exam as qualifying criteria. In order to get into IIM one has to score a minimum of 90 to 99% whereas for other private Universities the cutoff maybe as low as 25%.
