No, from 2023 onwards, the application form for all the courses offered through OJEE exam is the same. Candidates will be required to choose their preferred courses at the time of filling the OJEE application form. For each additional course, candidates will have to pay an additional fee of INR 500 per course. They are not required to fill two separate application forms.

Candidates are allotted a seat during TANCET counselling based on the following reservation criteria:

  • Open Competition (OC): 31%
  • Backward Classes (BC): 26.5%
  • Most Backward Class and Identified Communities: 20%
  • SC (Arunthathiyar): 3%
  • Scheduled Caste: 15%
  • Scheduled Tribes: 1%
  • Backward Class Muslims: 3.5%

The reservation criteria mentioned above has been followed during the Tamil Nadu MBA admission in the past sessions. DTE, Chennai, will release the updated reservation criteria along with the TANCET counselling brochure.

Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, conducts the TANCET counselling process online. The TANCET counselling process involves several steps with a physical document verification round. Stepwise process for TANCET counselling is as follows:
1) Counselling registration
2) Checking TANCET rank list
3) Choice filling
4) Publication of tentative allotment
5) Confirming tentative allotment
6) Publication of provisional allotment
7) Supplementary counselling round
8) SCA to SC counselling
All candidates will be allowed to participate in the general counselling process only after the certificates are verified.
