The university currently offers around 4500 seats including postgraduate and other integrated programmes and 1500 seats for doctoral programmes. There are many colleges and institutes affiliated to AU Silchar which offers education to about 25000 students.

Students should have at least 65% marks at UG level to be eligible for direct MBA admission. The requirement may vary by the college.
Students can take direct MBA admission in any college (that offer direct MBA admission) across the country.
For management quota seats in private MBA colleges across various states, students should have at least 50% marks at UG level.
