To apply for MBBS course admission at the Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences, candidates must qualify for the NEET UG entrance exam.  It is the sole entrance test for admission to undergraduate medical and paramedical courses offered in India. The exam is conducted once a year in offline or paper-pencil-based test (PBT) mode for three hours and 20 minutes or 200 minutes. Candidates can also check the best books for NEET preparation here.

A General category student must secure an AIR rank of 55,000 or above to get an MBBS seat in a good college. Candidates must note that this is a predictive cutoff rank and not an absolute data. The actual cutoff data or rank will be relesed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) after the conclusion of the counselling process for Assam NEET.

The opening and closing ranks are determined by the candidate's category and quota. The opening rank for the general category under All India was 14566, while the ending rank was 22347. Cut offs vary depending on other categories, female candidates, and even domicile of home state. Admission to Agartala Government Medical College's MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery programme is based on NEET test scores. Applicants should validate the category to which they are applying while looking for cut offs.
