Admission to medical and dental courses of study in the state of Tamil Nadu is based on marks obtained in class 12 (plus 2) examination. For candidates from other states of the country, score in All India Pre Medical- Pre dental examination is used for admission to 15 percent of the total seats in medical and dental courses. Dr. MGR Medical University grants affiliation to new medical, paramedical government and self-financing colleges in the state awarding degrees in the study of medicine and dentistry. Following is the detailed eligibility criteria for Tamil Nadu Medical and dental admission.
Eligibility for MBBS:-
Age:-
Candidates applying for admission should have completed the age of 17 years on or before the 31st December of the year of admission.
Educational Qualification:-
Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years of study. The last two years of study should comprise of subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology with English at a level not less than the core course for English prescribed by the National Council for Educational Research and Training.
Note: Where the course content is not as prescribed for 10+2 education structure of the National Committee, candidates will have to undergo a period of one year pre-professional training before admission to medical college.
The Intermediate examination in science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.
The pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination or the pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/pre-medical examination shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry & Biology with English as a compulsory subject.
The first year of the three years degree course of a recognized university, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the examination is a university examination and candidates has passed 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course.
B.Sc. examination of an Indian university, provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. examination with not less than two of the following subjects-Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany, Zoology).

The duration of the general medical degree program in French universities is about 9 years.
The medical studies are divided into 3 stages known as cycles.
1st cycle - 2 years, 2nd cycle - 4 years, 3rd cycle - 3 years.
Specialization is after this.
Eligibility:
1. You can apply after 12th. Minimum 60% in PCB is preferable.
2. A student before taking admission to any medical program must be proficient in French language at level B2 because all medicine courses in France are taught in French.

But my suggestion to you if you want to study in Europe then you will have to take up medicine in Poland. In terms of cost it is more affordable, acceptance of foreign students is more flexible, most important is that course is taught in English. Duration is 5 years plus one year of Internship.

Yes, paid clinical fellowships are available. You must go through certain verification processes and obtain work permit of the particular country. For example: if you apply for University of Calgary in Canada, your credentials must be verified through the Physician Credential Registry of Canada (PCRC). As an MBBS you are eligible to apply. You must also sit for the USMLE.
Exact information and requirement is available on the websites of the universities. You must start communicating with the department, and need to be accepted by the university before going forward.

Dear Astha it is true that Switzerland Institutes do not prefer foreign applicants in programs related to medicine, dentistry, veterinary and chiropractic with the following exceptions:
If the applicant is:
1. Recognized refugee by Switzerland
2. Citizen of Liechtenstein
3. Foreign citizens who have been residing in Switzerland for 5 or more years.
If you are looking to study medicine in European continent, you can consider Poland, Czech Republic, and Romania. You can choose Poland as the quality of education is good, cost is less as compared to Switzerland and is a more preferred destination for foreign students to study medicine and allied programs and also technical programs. Some of the Institutes such as Warsaw University take an entrance test before accepting a candidate if your grades are below the required criteria.
A lot students also go to countries such as Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Philippines etc. to study medicine.
Besides the country, it is also important to decide on a good institute as the quality of education varies at different institutes within the same country.
