Usually, it is 2 years but there are some universities which give admission in 3 year programme. So, this depends entirely upon the university in which you are seeking admission. The general eligibility criteria to be eligible for applying for BCA course you must have completed your Higher Secondary (+2) examination or equivalent (Diploma degree), with a minimum of 50% marks in total and also having mathematics as a subject in the qualifying examination. Also, as I mentioned earlier the above criteria is generally observed in most institutions offering the BCA degree but some institutions might also drop the minimum % marks required to get admission in the BCA course. While a good number of colleges admit on basis of class XIIth marks but some reputed institutions conduct entrance test for admission to BCA course. Guru Gobind Singh Indra Prastha University (GGSIPU) conducts a combined entrance test for admission to BCA course.
