For admission to the UG level programme, i.e. BDes, candidates must have passed class 12. Also, candidates are required to appear for the MITID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) based on which candidates will be selected for further admission rounds which include the Studio test and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The final selection list is made on cumulative assessment of all rounds and for final seat allotment, candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at MITID for document verification and fee payment.

There is no such provision for direct admission to any of the courses offered at MIT Institute of Design (MITID). Candidates interested in taking admission at MITID must take the institute’s entrance exam, i.e. Design Aptitude Test (DAT) on the basis of which candidates will be selected for the Studio test and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. On successful qualifying in both these rounds, candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at MITID for document verification and tuition fee payment for final seat allotment.

MIT Institute of Design Admission Dates for 2024 is not out at the moment, but admission is open for the BDes, MDes, PhD and PGP courses. Candidates are required to visit the official website to register themselves and apply for the MIT DAT entrance test. As admission to BDes and MDes is entirely based on the MIT DAT exams.
