If you have a mass media driven perspective, IIM looks fancier and more useful. If you have really like technology or science, M.Tech might make more sense to you. As we are not at the stage of rewarding innovators in India, you might not get a good company for research in India, but then the wheel of time moves on and you never know you would get tremendous opportunities in India by the time you pass out. Hi Bhanu,
Both the institutes are good, but you should go for a good branch and mechanical is a very good option.
Good luck.

Hi,
If you are aiming for UPSC then I would suggest you to opt for DTU as ECE/EE branch in DTU is an evergreen branch with an overwhelming response from its students in innovation/placement. Also, you will get sufficient time to prepare for UPSC.

MANIT ranks second after SPA, Dehli on architecture. So, without any cover ups, go for MANIT if its available for you.
