Yes, NIFT Chennai campus is safe for girls and boys. The college campus is located in Taramani, Chennai. It has a good connection with roads and public transports. CCTV cameras are installed in the campus to keep a check on students safety.

The placement report for the academic year 2024-2025 is yet to be release on the official website. As per the students' reviews on the Shiksha page, NIFT Chennai recorded 70% placements annually. The highest and average package offered during the recent NIFT Chennai placements stood at INR 6 LPA and INR 4 LPA, respectively. The lowest salary was INR 2 LPA.

The course-wise placemet stats are yet to be released. According to the students' review on the Shiksha page the highest package secured by the students during the recent placements was INR 6 LPA while the average salary was INR 4 LPA.

The NIFT Cut-off 2026 has been declared for various categories of students who fall under the General AI quota. The closing rank for the round four was 2707, and the most popular course with the lowest cut-off rank, which was 4, is the Master of Fashion Technology (M.FTech).

No, aspirants looking forward to pursue BDes at NIFT, Chennai cannot get enrollment without appearing for the entrance exam. The selection criteria for the BDes course at NIFT Chennai is entrance-based. Students are shortlisted based on the scores obtained in The National Institute of Technology (NIFT) exam. Moreover, they must fulfil the preset eligibility criteria and present the relevant documents supporting them. Additionally, the exam is conducted once every year and is further segregated into two parts
