The application process for NIFT Chennai is completely online. Candidates have to apply for via the official NIFT Admissions website. For admission to the NIFT programmes, candidates are required to appear for the NIFT entrance exam. First candidates have to register and create a unique id. Fill the application from and submit all the required documents. And before submitting the application form pay the application fee.

The NIFT Chennai application window is open for admission to the Design courses. Candidates seeking admission could have applied online till January, without a late fee. With a late fee of INR 5,000, candidates could apply till last of month.

Yes, admission dates for BDes admission at NIFT Chennai is out for 2024. Admission to the BDes programme is based The National Institute of Technology (NIFT) entrance exam. AS per the NIFT's official website, the written tests for the NIFT 2024 exam will be held tentatively in the 1st week of February 2024. The written tests comprise a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). GAT is mandatory for all candidates, but CAT is only required for B. Des and M. Des candidates.

Admission to BDes at NIFT Chennai is solely entrance-based. Candidate have to fill the online application form of The National Institute of Technology (NIFT). The NIFT 2024 application fee for the OPEN category is INR 3,000. However, SC, ST, and PwD candidates need to pay only INR 1,500. Once the application form is filled, candidates have to submit the form along with the application fee.

Candidates who have twelve years of school education with minimum of five subjects by the National Open School or from a recognised board are eligible for the BDes at NIFT Chennai. Additionally, as per the Institution's guidelines, candidate's maximum age should be less than 24 years (5 years relaxation in upper age for people from reserved categories). Now candidates are only required to appear for the NIFT entrance exam for BDes admission.

Admission to BDes at NIFT Chennai is solely entrance-based i.e. - The National Institute of Technology (NIFT), which will be conducting the written exams for NIFT 2024 tentatively in the 1st week of February 2024. For aspiring candidates, it’s mandatory to qualify for the written exam along with the situation test comprising different rounds. NIFT Chennai selects students based on the weightage of different parameters in each selection round. The fees for BDes at NIFT Chennai is around INR 6.1lakh - INR 12.3 lakh. The mentioned fee is only the tuition fee. The BDes fee aslo includes other one time fees, which candidates have to pay during admission. Also there is the NIFT entrance exam fee i.e. NIFT 2024 application fee is INR 3000. The fee is sourced from various source. Hence, its indicative.

NIFT Chennai offers a total of 305 seat intake for BDes and BDes lateral entry course. The seat breakup for the BDes coursre is 43 as per the specialisations offered in BDes and for the BDes lateral entry its 47 altogether. The seat allocation has respectively common for all the reserved categories and division is equal for each specialisation. Additionally, 5 seats are given as per each specialisation for NRI and foreign candidates.
