Doing Comparison like this is not possible, because it depends on many factors like about which branch you are asking, it depends on placements, type faculties you are asking there are many factors.

Hardly the rank matters as it totally depends upon the candidate which one to choose depending upon certain assets !
The infrastructure is growing UPAT a rapid pace & all these structures are combined with modern facility & techniques. Even the faculty members & staffs are far more educated with their ambient patience & dedication & ready to help at any period of time. Even if I say about the Placement, this NIT is providing more than 70% of campusing every year & its increasing. Previously the communication was to be a issue. But now it all past by since the broad gauge is going to hit our state soon. Every NIT has its TAG line with it

See, if the branch is not a barrier, you should definitely go for IIT or IIIT, as it stands out on its own and you'll get a great exposure there. But if you are sure with your branch that's EC, then NIT-Silchar is a great college.
